Who finally hit the 8 lb mark? Molly!

My baby is growing after all.  Not especially quickly, but she is!  Here is a break down of Molly's growth saga:

Birth weight (Jan. 18): 7 lb. 1 oz
Two days later: 6 lb. 7 oz
Three days later: 6 lb. 8 oz
Feb. 29: 7 lb. 2.5 oz
March 15: 7 lb. 8.5 oz
March 19 (2 month check up): 7 lb. 10 oz
March 29 (today): 8 lb. 2 oz

As you can see, she has been taking her sweet time plumping up.  Because of her spitting up, her pediatrician ordered a few tests, all of which turned out normal, and then sent her to a pediatric GI doctor.  We've been seeing her every two weeks for a weigh in.  She is meeting her minimum for daily weight gain, but doesn't have much room to give.  Starting today, we are going to be giving her a fatty oil three times a day to give her some extra calories and plump her up. 

Otherwise, she is doing great. She is very happy and loves sitting on our laps and smiling and cooing as we talk to her.  At her two month check up, her pediatrician said she is socially, acting like a four month old.  She is getting really good at focusing and tracking objects.  Listen to me, I've already got this bragging mother thing down pretty well!!!
